Introducing our 2021/22 Return to Campus Partner Pack
Ahead of the new academic year, Unite Students are proud to share our Return to Campus Partner Pack for 2021/22. This pack offers insight and information into how we are preparing for the new academic year, the welcome experience that students will receive on arrival, and some of our key priorities for the coming year.
We’ve undertaken a student survey and round table over the past few months to prepare for the needs of incoming students, while our strategy team has been working on ways to better meet the needs of students beyond their first year – including a trial of properties aimed at meeting the needs of postgraduate students, something we’ll share more details about soon.
In addition to details about our 2021/22 welcome offer, the pack also outlines a number of improvements to our service. A few key changes for 2021/22 include:
- A reboot of our Student Ambassador scheme, which will now be known as the Resident Ambassador programme and do more than ever to deliver the voice of the student community while being paid a National Living Wage (more details will be made available in the coming months);
- An improved offer for international students, including an improved welcome for out-of-hours arrivals, longer city orientation periods, and improved learning and development opportunities for our city teams to help them better support international students;
- An overhaul of our Student Support service, overseen by a new Head of Student Support; and
- Improved student insight to better meet the needs of students living in our properties.
We will continue to update our Covid safety policies in line with government guidance over the summer, and we are also currently making improvements to our self-isolation policy and Home Charter. More information on these will be made available in the next month, both by email and on our website; follow Unite Students on LinkedIn now to ensure you don’t miss out on the latest updates.
You can download the core slide deck now, with separate versions for different nomination agreements:
We hope that our university partners find this a valuable hub of information, insight and ideas for the coming year.
